Research Training Initiative

Esta es una iniciativa en el 'Birmingham Institute of Art and Design' que ofrece información relevante a este blog. Debe estar en los "favoritos" o 'bookmarks' de aspirantes, estudiantes, egresados y profesores de los distintos posgrados en diseño.


Tiene una cantidad grande de recursos como estudios de caso de egresados de distintos programas de doctorado en arte y diseño, guías y manuales para las distintas etapas de la investigación en estas áreas, así como enlaces a sitios y una bibliografía de interés.

Un buen ejemplo es el caso documentado de Paula Bourges-Waldegg (a quien tuve el placer de conocer hace unos años) y que se encuentra en el siguiente sitio:

En este, como otros casos, se incluye información que le dará al visitante una idea muy redonda sobre lo que puede significar el elegir un tema de investigación, enlistarse al posgrado y convertirse en un investigador del diseño. Para quienes están por presentar una propuesta de investigación para ingreso al doctorado, les recomendaría leer a detalle las secciones "Rationale", "Objectives" y "Methodological Framework". Para quienes ya están en marcha en el doctorado, vale la pena consultar "Thesis Abstract", "Suggestions for Further Research" y "Reflections on the PhD Process".

También de especial mención es el archivo de documentos de RTI sobre 'Journal Articles and Conference Papers on Research Education and Training'. La lista incluye:
