2. The Design Department at Goldsmiths provides a vibrant research community for staff and students, encouraging the integration of scholarship with practice... We are offering two scholarships to full-time PhD students for the 2007-08 session. The scholarships cover full-time Home/EU tuition fees (£3,240) and will be renewed for a second and third year of study, subject to satisfactory progress. Overseas applicants will be considered for a contribution towards their overseas tuition fees, of up to the amount of the full-time Home/EU fees (£3,240 of £11,900). The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. They are available to any new PhD applicants whose research topic falls within the broad areas of interest of the Department, as follows:

* Critical Practice
* Design Education
* Sustainability and Design
You should normally have an upper second class honours degree, and preferably a Master's degree, together with appropriate experience. 3. De Montford University: Up to seven fully funded sponsored PhD studentship are available to candidates. Each of the studentships is available for three years full-time study and provides a substantial bursary. Candidates should hold a good first degree (First Class, Upper-Second Class or equivalent) in a relevant subject area. We would welcome applications from suitable qualified candidates to study in any of the following discipline areas: Art and Design: Design and New Product Development; Textiles Engineering and Materials; Fine Art; Photographic Studies and Creative Imaging.
